Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler - Aircraft Parts to join our team at Republic Airways. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for maintaining, shipping, and handling aircraft parts and materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of parts and materials inventory, including tracking and reporting discrepancies.
  • Ensure timely location and acquisition of parts and materials for maintenance, using computer tracking systems and other resources.
  • Accurately issue and deliver parts and materials to various departments, ensuring proper handling and storage to avoid damage or delays.
  • Perform computer system transactions, including parts and materials issue and returns, warehouse transfers, and bin transfers.
  • Receive and inspect parts and materials, logging information in computer systems.
  • Ensure parts and materials are properly stored, identified, and comply with Shelf Life programs.
  • Expedite past-due repair and purchase orders for critical spare requirements.
  • Maintain awareness of Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) to prevent entry into Company inventories.
  • Perform shipping functions of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials, using various options, including creating and delivering counter-to-counter shipments for air transport.
  • Review computer systems daily for open requisitions, determining if requested parts and materials are still needed and canceling or deleting outdated requisitions.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts, accurately reporting discrepancies.
  • Work with different departments to ensure maintenance tasks are completed to support the organization.
  • Conduct monthly self-audits, including shelf life, hazardous shipping files, and various FAA audits.
  • Maintain tooling needed to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain a secure, clean, and orderly stockroom, per Company policies and procedures, and FAA requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with hazardous materials/dangerous goods regulations, following and complying with all Environmental Protection Agency policies that impact the airline.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • Able to operate forklifts and other machinery.
  • Must be able to pass and remain current on HAZMAT Dangerous Goods Handling course.
  • Possess basic computer skills in Microsoft Office and Word.
  • Must be willing to travel for training and company needs.
  • Must be a self-starter who can provide excellent customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in warehouse, parts, supply chain, etc.
Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Reasoning/Problem Solving Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Decision Making

Makes limited decisions and determines best methods to solve problems by referring to established precedents and policies. Impact of decisions is moderately low.

Physical Demands

Able to focus with clear vision at 20 inches or less (computer screen). Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment

Work in outdoor weather conditions within an open air hangar. Exposed to moderate noise.

Travel Requirements

Travel up to 10% of the time, including overnight travel. Able to work a schedule that supports 24 hour operations.
