Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hotel Director of Engineering to join our team at Blue Water Business Consulting. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our hotel facilities, equipment, and tools.

Job Summary:

The Director of Engineering will oversee a team of engineers and maintenance staff, providing guidance and support to ensure that all aspects of hotel operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily operations of the maintenance team
  • Oversee installation and maintenance of equipment
  • Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance team operations
  • Ensure prompt, professional, and courteous service to guests
  • Ensure that hotel facilities and amenities meet standards
  • Report major repairs and items that cannot be repaired immediately to management
  • Prepare reports on maintenance topics for management
  • Perform regular inspections of properties, equipment, and facilities
  • Coordinate responses to maintenance-related inquiries and issues
Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate's degree in Building Maintenance, Technology, or related field preferred.

Previous UNION hotel experience required.

Knowledge: Minimum 3 years hands-on experience working on minor electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and HVAC repairs.

Ability to read, speak, and write English language to communicate with guests and other hotel employees, fully comprehend job assignments.

Skills: Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.

Skill in use of related tools (including hand and electric tools).

$90,000 - $120,000 per year (estimated)
