Electrical Panel Builder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Builder to join our team at Consarc Corporation. As an Electrical Panel Builder, you will be responsible for planning and performing jobs related to installing and maintaining electrical equipment, including control panels, cabinets, junction boxes, switches, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and perform jobs of installing and maintaining electrical equipment, including control panels, cabinets, junction boxes, switches, and more.
  • Work from wiring diagrams and independently, providing direction to others as needed.
  • Assemble and solder operations on a variety of product parts and sub-assemblies, following instructions and standard methods and procedures.
  • Dress wires, follow color code, solder connections, and clean as required.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail and good organizational skills.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, assemblies, and interconnects.
  • Lead a team and have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Minimum of 8 years' hands-on experience building panels, cabinets, and power supplies.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequently required to talk, stoop, hear, use fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods of time (estimated at 8-10 hours per day).
  • Ascending and descending stairs and/or ladders.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate manufacturing noise.
  • May be exposed to dust or other irritants and electrical/mechanical/power equipment/heat hazards.
