Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Permanent Tax Manager to become a vital part of our finance team. Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the organization's tax policies and objectives.
2. Ensure compliance with all applicable state, local, and federal tax laws and regulations.
3. Prepare and review tax returns, ensuring precision and timely submission.
4. Conduct tax research, interpret tax regulations, and provide guidance on tax-related matters.
5. Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize tax liabilities and enhance profitability.
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision-making support.
7. Offer guidance and assistance during tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
8. Stay informed about the latest developments in tax legislation and regulations.
9. Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as necessary.
10. Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to junior staff members.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A CPA or a Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is highly desirable.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a tax manager capacity, preferably within the finance sector.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Proficiency in tax preparation, compliance, and planning.
5. Extensive experience in corporate taxation, tax filings, tax research, and tax accounting.
