Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing routine maintenance tasks and assisting in the prompt troubleshooting and repair of any mechanical or electrical issues that may occur within the manufacturing processes and associated equipment in the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and configure machinery for planned production activities.
  • Conduct emergency and unscheduled repairs on all machinery, equipment, and facility infrastructure during production operations.
  • Ensure timely completion and accurate documentation of all scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment malfunctions and their underlying causes.
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out necessary repairs, maintenance, and servicing.
  • Identify issues, replace or repair components, test, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Communicate any equipment-related concerns to the Technical Manager.
  • Obtain written approval for all purchases or expenditures prior to acquisition (refer to Purchase Requisition).
  • Monitor all facility maintenance needs and report them to the Technical Manager.
  • Maintain and store all records utilized, which will be subject to management review.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Five years of experience may be considered in lieu of formal education at management's discretion.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of ISO/IATF16949:2016 Management System.
  • Experience in an employee ownership or empowered team setting.
  • Capability to make informed decisions.
  • Interest in a versatile, multi-skilled work environment.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as necessary.
  • Proficient in operating a forklift and scissor lift, with a valid license.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Knowledge of proper confined space protocols.
