Behavioral Health Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to join our multidisciplinary team. As a Behavioral Health RN, you will provide specialized care to patients with mental health and behavioral disorders, supporting their journey to recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including risk assessments, and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and provide education on medication management and treatment plans.
- Support patients in managing symptoms, coping with stress, and improving overall mental health through therapeutic communication and interventions.
- Monitor patients for changes in behavior, mood, and physical condition, and report any concerns to the healthcare team promptly.
- Assist in crisis intervention, de-escalation techniques, and the management of acute psychiatric episodes.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families, helping them understand the diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- RN license in State of Assignment or compact license
- 2 years of experience as a traveler 3 years with no travel
- Must live 100 miles from Facility
