Job Summary

Lakeside Behavioral Health System is seeking a skilled Intake Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our intake team, you will be responsible for providing telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, and coordinating the referral and intake process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention
  • Initial contact with referral sources and potential patients
  • Coordinate the referral and intake process
  • Determine appropriate level of care
  • Facilitate the admission process
  • Maintain communication with referral sources, families, patients, and unit staff

Requirements

  • Licensed Physicians, APRN's, Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Registered Nurses, Masters in Social Work, Masters in Counseling, Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, or Masters of Psychology required
  • Prior intake, assessment, admission, and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population, preferably in an inpatient setting
