Job Title: IT Support Specialist

About the Role:
Antietam Broadband Inc is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure, local and wide area networks, and providing support for all computers and computer systems tied to these networks. You will also troubleshoot software issues, maintain security for all systems, and respond to user inquiries with a customer service approach.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, maintain, and document IT infrastructure
  • Administer local and wide area networks
  • Manipulate or program software to meet the needs of users
  • Support computer systems and assist users
  • Maintain IT security
  • Communicate effectively with others
  • Quickly, accurately, and calmly handle decision-making processes
  • Maintain updates on systems and applications
  • Ability to work extended hours and overnights as needed
  • Ability to stay calm in stressful situations
  • Ability to be on-call after hours, weekends, and holidays

Requirements:
  • Valid and clean driver's license
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operations
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain IT infrastructure
  • Proven knowledge of PC operating systems, hardware, and peripherals, email standards, and protocols
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory preferred
  • Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly and thoroughly
  • Ability to administer and configure software to meet the needs of users
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a manner that is easy to understand
  • Ability to communicate with department heads about technology projects and technology systems
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with users and vendors
