Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a vibrant and energetic atmosphere in the store for both customers and colleagues.
  • Engage with multiple customers at the cash register, ensuring a memorable and positive experience through personalized service.
  • Accurately and efficiently handle register transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Ensure correct pricing and ringing of merchandise, applying price overrides when necessary.
  • Manage customer expectations by clearly communicating product details, care instructions, and delivery timelines.
  • Encourage additional purchases by affirming the client’s selections and suggesting complementary items.
  • Inform customers of ongoing promotions that may influence their purchasing decisions.
  • Share insights and testimonials about products, in-store events, and workshops to enhance the customer experience.
  • Maintain visual standards and supplies at the cash wrap area.
  • Utilize all available resources to fulfill customer requests and resolve any issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Foster a respectful and equitable environment for all associates, in line with our People-First Philosophy.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals and closing sales.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, demonstrating innovative thinking.
  • Passionate about building lasting customer relationships and promoting company offerings.
  • Skilled in asking insightful questions to understand customer preferences and needs.
  • Capable of working collaboratively in a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a customer service role.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Physical ability to remain mobile on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Proficient in operating a POS system.
  • Able to lift and move medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., using appropriate safety techniques.
  • Full-time associates should have flexible availability to meet business needs.
  • Part-time associates must be available for a minimum of two shifts on weekends and two during the week.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate a POS system.
  • Capacity to lift and move items up to 75 pounds safely.

Benefits

This position offers a competitive compensation package, which includes pay and benefits based on various factors such as education, experience, and location. Anticipated pay for this role is $17.00 per hour.
