This role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our shipping functions, including the accurate and timely completion of systems transactions, distribution, and filing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shipping Operations: Support all physical shipping functions, including the preparation and processing of shipments, and the maintenance of accurate records.
  • Transaction Management: Ensure that systems transactions are completed, distributed, and filed accurately and on time, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Assist in recommending shipping containers and methods of packing, and help with dimensioning and measurement requirements.
  • Training and Development: Train as a backup to the Logistics Specialist, UPS Outbound, and Ship Loose, and assist in providing training and retraining to new and/or reassigned employees.
  • Quality and Compliance: Support all 5S, EHS, Lean, and Quality Initiatives, and assist with the annual inventory process.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the Lead and Supervisor to provide assistance, training, and retraining to new and/or reassigned employees, and build crates as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Skills: Ability to read and understand units of measurement, experience working in shipping/warehouse departments, and proficiency in Microsoft suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to accurately record and transfer information/transactions to required forms, and safely use a pallet jack, fork-lift, power tools, and overhead cranes.
  • Personal Qualities: Self-starter, flexible, and available to work overtime and long hours with little notice, as required by production demands.
