Job Title: Veterinary Technician Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our team at Pikesville Animal Hospital, an EverVet Partner. As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with medical procedures, patient care, and laboratory tests.
  • Restrain and handle animals of various species for examination and treatment.
  • Prepare and maintain medical records, including taking digital photos and recording laboratory results.
  • Administer treatments, medications, and vaccinations under the direction of a veterinarian or veterinary technician.
  • Monitor and maintain patient comfort, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Assist with radiology, surgery, and other medical procedures.
  • Maintain inventory, order supplies, and perform other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Veterinary Assistant Certification preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in animal care or a related field.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
