The ideal candidate for the Project Architect position will work under the guidance of Senior Leaders, providing essential design support primarily in project management, design evolution, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and produce contract documents (CDs)
  • Review CDs to ensure adherence to firm standards, mechanical systems, building codes, and ADA regulations
  • Oversee all CD production and review for smaller projects
  • Collaborate with senior technical and design staff to address design challenges
  • Manage projects through the contract administration phase
  • Coordinate with engineering consultants to ensure compliance with design solutions and timely document submissions
  • Provide support for field surveys when necessary
  • Manage the contract administration budget for assigned projects
  • Ensure compliance with budgetary constraints and promptly inform relevant parties of any potential variances
  • Mentor Junior and Immediate Designers, overseeing tasks and providing constructive feedback
  • Conduct client interviews to ascertain technical requirements for design

Qualifications:

  • Degree in architecture or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience with interior projects is essential
  • Preferred 8+ years of experience in Corporate Workplace and Hospitality design

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of design principles and standards
  • Intermediate skills in documentation and field observation
  • Advanced detailing skills in retail and interior architecture
  • Familiarity with contract documents and procedures
  • Knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements
  • Understanding of space requirements and contract administration
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Advanced skills in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with Affinity Program or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate presentation and graphic communication skills
