Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team at SpringHill Suites Cheraw. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to food sanitation standards
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
  • Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
  • Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, and local regulations
  • Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
Requirements

To be successful as a Line Cook, you will need:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a line cook in a full-service restaurant
  • Proficiency in various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, frying, and food presentation
  • Understanding of food safety protocols and regulations, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and adhering to cooking timelines
  • Capable of collaborating effectively with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operations during service
  • Clear communication skills to effectively convey orders, instructions, and any kitchen-related issues to team members and management
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and tasks as required in a dynamic kitchen environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a hot and crowded kitchen environment
  • Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during food preparation or service
  • Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per the demands of the restaurant's operation
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the restaurant
