Job Description

The Financial Development Specialist - Nevada Outreach will be responsible for developing and executing outreach programs in the Reno, NV metropolitan area. This role involves conducting seminars, presentations, and workshops to promote the FuturePath 529 Plan to various audiences.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Present educational seminars and workshops on the FuturePath 529 Plan to different groups, including community organizations, employers, and local businesses.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders, such as elected officials, financial literacy proponents, and HR/payroll decision-makers.
  • Promote payroll direct deposit services to employers and coordinate implementation with Client Services.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to create communication materials and develop a strong working knowledge of 529 plan rules and guidelines.
  • Attend quarterly Board of Directors meetings and bi-weekly status calls with the Treasurer's Office and Ascensus team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in sales, marketing, or client service in the financial services industry.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proven experience presenting to large groups of people.
  • Sales or client management experience, preferably in the 529 industry.
  • Ability to work independently and travel throughout the State of Nevada.
  • Current Series 6 or 7 and 63 or 66 licenses preferred.

Benefits:

  • $60,000 - $80,000 per year salary range based on qualifications and experience.
