Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team at West Ada School District. As a 5th Grade Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of students.
  • Establish a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters academic growth and social development.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and administrators to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
  • Stay current with research-based teaching methodologies and implement best practices in the classroom.
Requirements
  • Proper certification for the position, as required by the State of Idaho.
  • Ability to communicate proficiently in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capacity to read and understand work-related materials, including lesson plans and educational resources.
  • Ability to observe and monitor student activities and conduct throughout the instructional day.
Working Conditions

This position requires regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work in an office environment. The teacher must be able to lift or move objects that weigh up to 25 lbs. and have a valid Idaho Driver's license and a vehicle to drive, or provide own transportation for job-related activities.

Evaluation and Terms of Employment

Yearly evaluation by supervisor. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job. As per Idaho Code 65-5-1/65-, eligible veterans are provided advantages in public employment in Idaho.
