Shifts Available: 1st shift Thurs – Sat every other Wednesday 7am – 7pm; 2nd shift Thursday – Sat every other Wednesday 7pm – 7am; 3rd shift Sun – Tues every other Wednesday 7pm – 7am.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Automation Control Engineer to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will be tasked with developing, maintaining, and enhancing automation control systems that are crucial to our production operations.
This is a permanent role that offers an exciting opportunity to engage with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, innovative setting.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Automation Control Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Developing and maintaining PLC and HMI software for both new and existing machinery.
2. Designing and implementing control systems for manufacturing workflows.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing electrical equipment and control systems.
4. Programming and configuring Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLC and HMI systems.
5. Designing and implementing VFD and control logic for automation systems.
6. Maintaining comprehensive documentation of all electrical circuitry and control systems.
7. Collaborating with the engineering team to enhance equipment and design modifications.
8. Conducting regular tests and inspections on all electrical control systems.
9. Ensuring compliance of all equipment and systems with safety standards and regulations.
10. Providing technical support and training to team members as needed.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must possess:
1. A minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar capacity within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven expertise with Allen Bradley, Allen Bradley / Rockwell PLC, and HMI systems.
3. Strong knowledge of automation controls programming with PLC & HMI programming experience.
4. Proficiency in Ladder Logic, Electrical Controls, SLC 500's, VFD, and Controls Logics.
5. A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot complex electrical systems.
7. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex systems in straightforward terms.
8. The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
9. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols.
