Neuro Trauma Registered Nurse PRN

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in the Neuro Trauma unit at St Mary's Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
- Utilize technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' physical and psychological needs.
- Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines to ensure accurate and timely patient care.
- Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs, and participate in clinical team conferences to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.
- ASN from an accredited program; BSN within 4 years.
- Current Colorado RN license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred.
This role requires ongoing visual and auditory attention, as well as manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment. Frequent interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members require effective verbal communication and hearing. The ability to lift and transfer patients, as well as bend and lift supplies and equipment, is also necessary. This role may require standing for extended periods and navigating crowded and busy areas.
