Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Attorney 2 to join our team at the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (PURA) within the State of Connecticut. As a Staff Attorney 2, you will play a critical role in advancing the state's energy, economic, and environmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice to commissioners, the Chief of Staff, and staff on various regulatory matters.
  • Act as a hearing officer in formal administrative and public proceedings.
  • Conduct complex legal research and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Review and draft legislation, regulations, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of trials and appeals.
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in the practice of law.
  • Admission to practice law in the State of Connecticut within three months of employment.
