Position Summary
The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing MRI examinations with a high level of expertise and safety. You will collaborate with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care through your knowledge of Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct MRI exams according to established protocols on various body parts efficiently.
- Perform pre-exam screenings, assist patients with necessary preparations, and manage required documentation.
- Ensure compliance with physician orders and maintain accurate patient records.
- Safely administer contrast media and manage IVs as needed.
- Transport patients and prioritize workflow to optimize patient care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiography program.
- Current RT and MR certification from ARRT.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist and two years of MRI experience is preferred.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
