Augusta University Health Imaging is in search of a dedicated and compassionate individual to become a part of our dynamic, patient-centered team. If you are enthusiastic about patient care and enjoy engaging with individuals, we invite you to consider the role of a Radiology Technologist working on an as-needed basis (PRN). This position primarily requires availability during weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Radiology Medical Director, the Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will:

- Conduct radiographic procedures and related techniques, generating images as requested for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

- Ensure that all services are delivered in a safe environment, adhering to established guidelines and regulatory standards.

- Collaborate with the imaging center team, actively seeking and providing feedback to enhance clinical practices.


Qualifications:

Educational Background:
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program is required.

Licensure and Certification:

- Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography is mandatory, along with maintaining current registration from ARRT. Additionally, candidates must fulfill state licensure requirements for their practice location. BLS certification is required within 60 days of employment.


Skills and Competencies:
- Proficiency in operating radiographic and ancillary equipment.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks.
- Strong documentation skills, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Comprehensive understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
- Familiarity with computer applications, including information and billing systems, data entry, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
