We are seeking a dedicated PRN MRI Imaging Specialist to contribute to our mission of excellence in patient care.

Role Responsibilities and Qualifications

The MRI Imaging Specialist is responsible for conducting MRI examinations with a strong emphasis on safety and proficiency in MRI technology. You will collaborate with Radiologists, Radiology Physician Assistants, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient care through your expertise in Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct MRI examinations according to established protocols across various body regions efficiently.
  • Perform pre-exam screenings, assist patients with gowning, complete necessary history forms, and manage inventory of supplies.
  • Ensure adherence to physician orders in patient records, document completion of exams, manage IVs as required, and safely administer contrast media.
  • Transport patients as needed, assist with patient positioning, prioritize exam workflows, and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including physicians, colleagues, patients, and their families.
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an AMA-accredited Radiography program.
  • RT and MR certification from ARRT.
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Radiology Technician and two years of MRI experience is preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • MRI certification must be obtained within 60 months of employment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Cardiovascular Technologist (CV Tech), Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) are advantageous.
