Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Nurse to join our Internal Travel Nursing team at Res-Care, Inc. As a Travel Registered Nurse, you will provide staffing support to Home Health branches across the enterprise by fulfilling temporary staffing needs, as determined by regional and company-wide leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Travel to Home Health agencies, as assigned by leadership, to provide staffing support
  • Complete initial OASIS assessments and ongoing comprehensive assessments of Skilled Home Health patients
  • Initiate patient plan of care and reevaluate as necessary
  • Utilize health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis
  • Administer medication and treatment as prescribed by the physician in the plan of care
  • Counsel the patient and family in meeting nursing and related needs
  • Maintain accurate clinical notes
  • Communicate with physicians and participate in interdisciplinary group meetings to meet the medical and emotional needs of the patient and family/caregivers
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal legal and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

  • Degree from an accredited nursing school with a current license to practice in state of residence
  • Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) License
  • Willing to obtain additional state nursing licensure in non-compact states, as deemed necessary by leadership
  • At least two years of Home Health nursing experience
