About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Technologist to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a Vascular Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our vascular division.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in all areas of ultrasound, including vascular sonography.
  • Apply sound energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment, exercising professional judgment in performance of services.
  • Recognize patient conditions essential for successful completion of procedures and apply knowledge of anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention.
  • Participate in providing patient-specific care standards as directed and follow service excellence standards to ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in a patient-care related field or graduate of a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE) or Canadian Medical Association (CMA).
  • One year of experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer, with preferred experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
