Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at UMC Health System. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams, ensuring high-quality images and excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT exams, including quality control and patient exam acquisition
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, utilizing prescribed standards for radiation safety
  • Utilize the dose calibrator to accurately assay radiopharmaceuticals before administration
  • Cover standby in NM and PET/CT, working nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Maintain professional licensures and continuing education, submitting certificates and education to administration
  • Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with radiology staff, radiologists, nursing personnel, and referring physicians
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program or equivalent training
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a technologist in a hospital/clinic setting
  • Current TDH/MRT Certification, ARRT and/or NMTCB Certification, and CPR certification
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing and lifting of patients, materials, and equipment. Work is sometimes stressful with many emotional demands. The position requires near visual acuity and constant work around and handling of radioactive materials.
