At The Arc Erie County New York, we are committed to providing exceptional support services to individuals with disabilities and their families. We are seeking a highly skilled Behavior Intervention Specialist II to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Behavior Intervention Specialist II will be responsible for assessing, developing, and monitoring behavior support plans and services for individuals receiving services within our Residential, Day Programs, and/or Community Support Services Programs. This role requires a strong understanding of behavioral analysis and a commitment to providing high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify the underlying causes of challenging behaviors
  • Develop and implement behavior support plans that address and modify challenging behaviors
  • Provide regular and routine staff training on behavior management and support strategies
  • Collaborate with treatment teams to ensure comprehensive support services
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behavior support plans and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Behavior Analysis or a related field
  • National Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) or equivalent
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities and their families
  • Strong understanding of behavioral analysis and support strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
