Job Summary:

As a Nurse II at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our Diagnostic Radiology department. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate nursing professional to join our team as a Nurse II - Oncology Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, provide, and supervise nursing interventions for individuals with cancer and cancer-related health care problems.

Diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems through patient care, health teaching, and health counseling.

Provide interventions supportive to or restorative of life and well-being, executing medical regimens prescribed by a physician, dentist, or other licensed healthcare provider.

Supervise Nurse Is, Licensed Practical Nurses, Hospital Clinical Assistants, and Clinical Support Assistants.

Perform administrative tasks with assigned area of responsibility and enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings, and workshops.

Requirements:

License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one year of full-time oncology nursing experience, or two years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting, or completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three months as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.
