About the Role

As a Financial Analyst Associate, your work will be used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. You will find creative ways to solve business challenges through detailed analysis, strategic thinking, and cross-functional teaming. Your responsibilities will include supporting the month-end close of National Grid IT financials, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop financial models, and effectively communicating key takeaways to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the month-end close of National Grid IT financials.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives, projects, and operational changes.
  • Communicate key takeaways to stakeholders through effective reporting and comprehensive analyses.
  • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships across teams, functions, and levels.
  • Apply analytical skills, judgement, attention to detail, and creativity to effectively solve problems.
  • Navigate ambiguity, take initiative, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Math, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a quantitative field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate, iterate, and influence.
  • Ability to thrive in a matrix-type environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Inquisitive and self-starter.
  • Ability to synthesize large datasets and develop comprehensive analysis to inform the business and drive decisions.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience with SAP, SAC, Alteryx, PowerBI a plus.
