Job Title: Pediatric Hospitalist Physician Specialist

 

About the Opportunity:

We are seeking a board-certified/board-eligible pediatrician to join our team as a pediatric hospitalist physician specialist. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and be able to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Admit sick pediatric patients to the hospital, mostly through the emergency room but occasionally directly from an office
  • Perform examinations on admitted pediatric patients and conduct comprehensive assessments to make diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and patient progress, rounding in various pediatric acute care areas
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of nurses, physicians, and other medical professionals to provide high-quality patient care
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and quality standards

 

Requirements:

  • Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics
  • New York State licensure
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

 

Additional Information:

  • This is a short-term opportunity expected to last 3-6 months
  • The ideal start date is October, upon completion of necessary credentials
  • No call is required at this time, as permanent doctors cover the rotation
  • The EMR system used is MEDITECH

 

Compensation:

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated salary for this position is $220,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.
