Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct internal and external security assessments on corporate web applications, APIs, networks, infrastructure, and operating systems to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Perform mobile application security assessments for both Android and iOS platforms.
  • Execute security evaluations in cloud-based environments.
  • Generate detailed and precise security assessment reports with remediation recommendations, and communicate risk findings to development and infrastructure teams.
  • Develop scripts, tools, or methodologies to improve Cigna's security testing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify risks, communicate with key stakeholders, and deliver value to the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to function as both an individual contributor and a collaborative team member in a dynamic environment.
  • Ability to coordinate with various teams to anticipate project completion and share responsibilities effectively.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Unix-based operating systems.
  • Understanding of fundamental Internet protocols (e.g., TCP, UDP, DNS, HTTP, TLS, IPsec) and the OSI model.
  • Knowledge of encryption principles (symmetric/asymmetric, ECB/CBC operations, AES, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud service models such as SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
  • Basic skills in exploit development and validation.
  • Proficiency in application vulnerability assessment tools (e.g., Burp, Checkmarx, AppScan, WebInspect, Cenzic, etc.).
  • Experience with network and server assessment tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Nmap, Nikto, etc.).
  • Understanding of web application frameworks (React, Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, J2EE, PHP, ASP.NET).
  • Expertise in both manual and automated penetration testing techniques.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and common attack vectors.
  • Experience in coding/scripting with modern programming languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, PowerShell).
  • Mobile application development experience on Android/iOS platforms (e.g., Java, Swift, Objective C).
  • Ability to analyze vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, accurately assess threats, and provide remediation strategies.
Additional Information:
  • High School diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in penetration testing.
  • Strong passion for security and innovative approaches to system testing and defense.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for creative thinking.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
