Overview
Objective of the Agricultural Policy Support Analyst
The primary goal is to represent Agricultural Policy Services in various corporate and departmental initiatives. This role involves developing the necessary skills to carry out all stages of testing, including the analysis of results. Additionally, the analyst will prepare, document, and facilitate training sessions for departmental users. A critical part of the role includes reviewing existing procedures and workflows, providing recommendations for enhancements, and conducting business specifications and cost-benefit analyses. The analyst will also perform quality control and conduct periodic audits of Agricultural Lines and Control Desk functions to ensure precision.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Agricultural Policy Support Analyst
Acquire comprehensive knowledge of departmental processing techniques, industry standards, regulations, procedures, and the product lines and software utilized by the Farm Bureau.
Engage in ongoing corporate and departmental projects, including the management of sub-teams as necessary. Learn to plan and execute testing to facilitate a seamless implementation of changes. Develop a communication strategy to update management and other stakeholders on project status and progress.
Learn to create effective procedures for the department and other users. Establish a system to prepare, document, and maintain current procedural documents consistently.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the Agricultural Policy Support Analyst
Required
A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory. An associate degree is preferred, particularly in fields such as insurance, business administration, finance, or management.
Proficient computer skills and demonstrated experience with the Microsoft Office Professional Suite are essential.
A commitment to ongoing job-related training and education is required.
Preferred
Experience within the insurance sector is advantageous. Familiarity with process improvement methodologies is preferred.
Experience working on project teams is desirable.
Professional achievements in AICPCU programs are a plus.
Designations such as AAIC, AINS, API, or AU are preferred.
