Job Summary

As a Loss Prevention Officer at The Ritz-Carlton Residences Singer Island, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our guests and employees. Your primary responsibility will be to patrol all areas of the property, assist guests with room access, and monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, and fire life safety systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol all areas of the property to prevent and detect potential security threats
  • Assist guests with room access and provide exceptional customer service
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Televisions, perimeter alarm systems, and fire life safety systems to ensure the safety of guests and employees
  • Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections
  • Respond to accidents, contact EMS or administer first aid/CPR as required, and assist guests/employees during emergency situations
  • Notify appropriate individuals in the event of accidents, attacks, or other incidents, and defuse guest/employee disturbances
  • Call for outside assistance if necessary and complete incident reports to document all Security/Loss Prevention related incidents
  • Handle all interruptions and complaints, resolve safety hazard situations, and escort any unwelcome persons from the property without interrupting the orderly flow of property operation
  • Report to scenes of vehicle accidents/thefts and call for assistance using proper code responses
  • Complete a Loss Prevention shift summary/daily activity report and maintain confidentiality of all Security/Loss Prevention and property reports/documents
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence, conduct interviews with relevant parties, and follow all company policies and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • No related work experience required, but a strong background in security or law enforcement is preferred
  • No supervisory experience required, but the ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential
  • No license or certification required, but a valid driver's license is preferred
