Host/Hostess Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Host/Hostess to join our team at Andiamo. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and Seat Guests: Welcome guests with a smile and ensure they are seated promptly and efficiently.
  • Manage Reservations: Handle phone calls, reservations, and table assignments with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Provide Excellent Service: Anticipate guests' needs, respond to questions, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Ensure the host station is tidy and well-stocked, and that the restaurant is presented in a clean and welcoming manner.
  • Communicate Effectively: Collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless service, and communicate with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurate handling of reservations, table assignments, and guest requests.
  • Positive Attitude: Friendly, outgoing, and courteous demeanor.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with the service team to ensure excellent service.
  • Knowledge of POS Systems: Familiarity with SpotOn and OpenTable systems.
