Your Role: As a Clinical Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role by merging the duties of a Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist. Your responsibilities will include:
- Clinical Support: Assist healthcare professionals during patient evaluations and procedures.
- Patient Care: Accurately document patient medical histories and vital signs.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and injections as instructed by healthcare providers.
- Laboratory Duties: Conduct basic lab tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Infection Control: Uphold infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of medical equipment.
Administrative Support: Your front desk responsibilities will include:
- Warmly welcoming patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating additional testing as directed by physicians.
- Verifying insurance coverage and assisting patients with billing inquiries.
- Reviewing patient demographics for accuracy and entering data into Practice Management and EHR systems.
Qualifications: Candidates should possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in both front office and clinical settings, preferably within urology. Essential skills include:
- Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-10, and CPT-4 Codes.
- Current understanding of clinical practices, quality assurance, and patient management.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Strong computer software and database skills.
Travel Requirements: Candidates must be willing to travel to various sites as necessary within the region and may assist in patient transfers.
