We are seeking a dedicated Wound Management Registered Nurse to enhance our caring and professional team. The primary role of the Wound Management Registered Nurse involves delivering essential skin care to residents, focusing on the treatment and management of various skin conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
· Implement treatment strategies to prevent skin irritation and infection for wounds that may have healing challenges due to underlying health issues, such as diabetes or circulatory problems.
· Collaborate with other healthcare services to ensure a comprehensive approach to the resident's overall care plan.
· Communicate restorative care policies and procedures to staff, residents, and family members as required.
· Provide direct nursing care as needed, adapting to the department's requirements.
· Ensure that all restorative care documentation is thorough and accurately reflects the treatment administered and the resident's response.
· Contribute to and participate in training programs aimed at in-service education, on-the-job training, and orientation for new staff members.
· Maintain precise and complete records.
· Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
· LPN/RN credentialed in IL, with a valid license in good standing.
· Previous experience in long-term care settings is preferred.
· Possess a compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
