Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Senior Lifestyle. As a skilled care professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take and record vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Recognize and report abnormal changes in body functioning to a supervisor, prioritizing resident safety and well-being.
  • Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Transfer, position, and turn residents with care and precision, minimizing risk of injury.
  • Provide skin care and contribute to the resident's assessment and plan of care, working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Offer nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services, helping residents achieve their full potential.
  • Care for residents with dementia, using person-centered approaches to promote comfort and engagement.
  • Follow the schedule of resident needs set out by supervisor, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Provide emotional and social support to residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Promote and protect resident rights, respecting their autonomy and dignity.
  • Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns, maintaining open communication.
  • Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of residents, creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Respect residents' confidentiality, upholding the highest standards of professionalism.
  • Familiar with emergency equipment and procedures, ensuring preparedness in case of an emergency.
  • Understand duties during a fire drill and be familiar with evacuation plan, prioritizing resident safety.
  • Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on best practices and company policies.
  • Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, preservation of equipment, and achievement of safe working practices.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers, upholding the values of Senior Lifestyle.
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Senior Lifestyle Corporation, demonstrating a commitment to excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, embracing a team-oriented approach to care delivery.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in a skilled, sub-acute, assisted living, or memory care setting, with a strong understanding of geriatric care principles.
  • CNA licensure if required by state, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate electronic medical records and other software systems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team, handle multiple tasks safely and effectively, and prioritize resident needs.
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clear and respectful communication.
  • Dedicated, compassionate, and energetic, with a passion for delivering exceptional care and support.
  • English fluency preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
