Kaiser Permanente is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Med Surg team in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities- Under general supervision, utilize clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems.
- Assess, plan, direct, provide, and evaluate nursing care for patients, coordinating with other healthcare disciplines.
- Develop individual nursing plans of care, sensitive to patient developmental needs, and coordinate patient care activities with other hospital and clinic departments.
- Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for managing medical and/or surgical patients, accurately documenting in the electronic medical record.
- Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
- Minimum two (2) years recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting.
- Minimum one (1) year of Progressive Care, Intermediate Care, or Step-Down or Telemetry Unit experience.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) required at hire.
- Computer keyboarding skills and experience in acute care, utilizing the nursing process, effective problem-solving, and communication skills.
