We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Hotel Room Inspector to join our team at Belterra Casino Resort. As a key member of our Housekeeping department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and cleanliness in our guest rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness and quality, ensuring that all areas meet or exceed Belterra standards.
- Report rooms ready for occupancy and ensure that all rooms, linens, and equipment are set up in a standardized manner.
- Conduct daily shift Pre-shifts, uniform inspections, and direct the actions of all floor personnel.
- Report room, hall deficiencies, and problems related to structure, equipment, and plumbing to Engineering, prepare maintenance and work orders, and follow up on completion.
- Ensure training for safe and proper usage of chemicals and equipment, including bio-hazard training and proper back protection.
- Update and maintain correct hotel room status in the computer system and on boards.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Housekeeping/Hotel department policies and procedures.
- Ability to learn detailed inspection routines.
- Ability to effectively empower and coach direct work of subordinates.
- Basic computer, QWERTY keyboard, and office phone knowledge preferred.
- Ability to prioritize work load.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have Housekeeping (Hotel, Motel, Inn, etc) experience of at least 1 year. Recent experience preferred.
- Experience with inspecting/quality control and leadership is required.
Belterra Casino Resort is a premier gaming and resort destination located on the scenic Ohio River near the Markland Dam in Switzerland County, Indiana. Our resort features 38,000 square feet of gaming space, outstanding guest rooms and suites, seven delicious food venues, a shopping pavilion, full-service spa and salon, a 1,500-seat entertainment showroom, an 18-hole Tom Fazio designed golf course, and more than 50,000 square feet of meeting and conference space.
