Compensation: $24 per hour, based on experience.

Shift: Flexible hours available.

Position Overview:

In the role of Packaging Stability & Shelf-life Technician, you will be responsible for conducting product shelf-life assessments and packaging compatibility tests under the supervision of the shelf-life lead and category scientists. This position requires effective data organization, execution of laboratory tasks, and management of product storage and transfer processes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate in initial meetings to document and create the Shelf-life intake/request form (including Sensory, Product Development, and Packaging).
  • Receive, unpack, label, and appropriately store shelf-life products; facilitate product transfers between locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, label and store products, and schedule organoleptic benchtop evaluations.
  • Document team feedback, submit samples for analytical evaluations, and manage project documentation in SharePoint.
  • Coordinate team organoleptic evaluations at specified shelf-life intervals.
  • Transport goods between storage and testing sites as needed.
  • Provide regular updates to the packaging team and oversee packaging-related stability testing initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with knowledge management systems (e.g., SAP, SharePoint, Labware).
  • Strong technical skills in database management, reporting, and file organization.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices and sanitary food handling procedures.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and maintain organized schedules.
  • Laboratory experience is preferred, along with a keen attention to detail.
  • A valid Texas Driver License is required.
