Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely execute emergency and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and infrastructure.
  • Respond to directives from the Maintenance Group Leader and address emergency breakdowns. This includes diagnosing issues, disassembling and replacing faulty components, and testing repairs before returning equipment to operators.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as assigned, monitoring electronic equipment such as LELs, Video Jet Printers, ovens, oxidizer controls, line drives, and other electronic devices throughout the facility. Maintain logs for safety devices and perform preventive maintenance on drives, tracking units, motors, and monitoring equipment.
  • Assist production supervisors during emergency breakdowns, effectively utilizing manpower and resources to ensure timely repairs.
  • Maintain cleanliness in maintenance and work areas post-repair.
  • Utilize company tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring a safe work environment by adhering to Lock-out/Tag-out procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Manage inventory of maintenance supplies, notifying the Maintenance Group Leader or Maintenance Assistant when stock is low and providing necessary ordering information.
  • Utilize the Work Order system for entering and completing work orders as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Planner.
  • Report to the Maintenance Group Leader or Production Leader during off-hours and weekends.
  • Perform additional tasks as required, including plumbing, concrete work, and tasks requiring climbing or working at heights.
  • Understand and comply with the principles of the Quality and Environmental Management System in place.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams from Production and Quality Control to resolve issues and meet company objectives.
  • If uncertain or uncomfortable addressing an abnormal situation, seek assistance from plant leadership before taking action.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are necessary:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of two years of experience in electrical and electronic systems within an industrial manufacturing environment.
Language Skills:

Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance manuals, and communicate effectively in small group settings.

Mathematical Skills:

Competence in calculating figures and amounts such as fractions, percentages, area, and volume.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense to perform work instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form and solve problems involving multiple variables.

Other Skills & Abilities:

Capability to operate a forklift and utilize power tools.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to talk or hear, frequently walk, and occasionally stand, sit, bend, stoop, handle objects, reach, climb, or balance. Must be able to lift a minimum of 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Work Environment:

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, toxic or caustic chemicals, and extreme temperatures. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
