Your Role
We are currently in search of a Transportation Engineer/Modeler with a minimum of five years of experience in transportation engineering or planning to join our dynamic team. This position offers a hybrid work environment with flexibility.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducting transportation planning analyses, including traffic impact assessments and operational evaluations.
- Implementing travel demand models, particularly using EMME, along with preparing and analyzing model outputs.
- Performing microsimulation and mesoscopic modeling, as well as dynamic traffic assignments.
- Supporting traffic data collection and conducting thorough data analysis.
- Drafting technical memoranda and comprehensive reports.
- Solid understanding of travel demand modeling principles and advanced methodologies.
- Ability to leverage large datasets to analyze and model travel behavior.
- Experience with both activity-based and trip-based travel demand forecasting models.
- Proficiency in travel demand modeling software such as EMME, Cube, or TransCAD, with a strong preference for EMME experience.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to convey technical findings to diverse audiences.
- Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with large databases, dashboard development, and relevant software tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, MySQL) is advantageous.
- Experience in programming languages such as C, Java, or Python is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in standard business applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with GIS software is beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, City and Regional Planning, Operations Research, or a related field.
- A master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Five or more years of relevant experience in transportation engineering, modeling, or planning.
