Packaging Specialist

The Packaging Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production facility. This individual is responsible for conducting day-to-day activities, including weighing, labeling, and packaging of concentrates produced for our product line.
Quality control is a top priority, and the Packaging Associate must utilize the right amount and type of materials needed to ensure the finished product meets company and state standards.
In addition to packaging duties, the Packaging Associate is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the facility while adhering to all company policies and industry regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform production work by following standard operating procedures.
- Measure ingredients and products accurately to meet optimal production levels.
- Conduct preventive and general maintenance tasks on production equipment and tools.
- Weigh and store finished products, recording pertinent information in logs.
- Accountable for weighing, labeling, packaging, and product logging for accurate inventory control.
- Responsible for loading and unloading designated equipment, products, and materials.
- Responsible for proper use and maintenance of designated equipment.
- Process finished product to desired company standards.
- Maintain supplies and inventory levels.
- Responsible for maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the work area.
- Transport packaged product to the proper storage area before distribution.
- Ensure all safety and compliance regulations are followed.
- Work in a focused, quick, and efficient manner consistent with company standards.
- Perform all other job duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
- Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of the Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED); Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and TGS Global.
- Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills.
- Management and leadership experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be able to acquire MED badge prior to beginning employment.
- Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and lift for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to individually move objects up to 50 lbs in all directions.
- Knowledge of Colorado marijuana laws, MED regulations, and CDPHE requirements.
- Previous marijuana industry experience preferred, with priority given to candidates with experience in CO licensed facilities.
- Retail, operations, and/or sales experience a plus.
- Minimum of one-year retail, sales, hospitality, or customer service industry experience.
- High-level critical thinking, attention to detail, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills.
