Job Summary

Crossroads Turning Points is seeking two dynamic individuals to become Peer Recovery Specialists for our unit. As a Peer Recovery Specialist, you will provide support to patients in recovery, mentoring people with behavioral health issues, and helping individuals improve their social connections.

The ideal candidate will have lived experience with substance use and be actively participating in their chosen recovery path for a minimum of two years. They will also possess basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Office Programs, and a valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets agency requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to patients in recovery
  • Mentor people with behavioral health issues
  • Help individuals improve their social connections
  • Coordinate agency volunteers
  • Establish connections with treatment providers and other community resources
  • Perform outreach efforts with harm reduction and withdrawal management organizations
  • Work with local law enforcement and judicial branch programs/courts and participants

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Lived experience with substance use and actively participating in their chosen recovery path for a minimum of two years
  • Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Office Programs
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License with a driving record that meets agency requirements
