Job Summary:

Denver Public Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Education Professional to join our team. As a Teacher for Young Learners, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational journey of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students, aligning with DPS standards-based curriculum.
  • Classroom Management: Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social development, and enforcing rules of conduct and behavior.
  • Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and record students' performance, behavior, and social development, communicating with parents and guardians to address any concerns.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues, administrators, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for our students.
  • Professional Growth and Development: Stay updated with best practices in education, attending professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • Licensure: Possess a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license.
  • Commitment to Equity and Excellence: Demonstrate a strong commitment to dismantling systems of oppression and inequity, believing in and supporting all students to feel seen and heard.
  • Residency: Maintain a permanent home address in Colorado.
  • Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the position with or without accommodations.
