The Santa Clara Development Corporation is seeking a skilled Internal Controls Specialist to join our team.

Salary and Benefits

We offer an estimated salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 per annum, based on relevant experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the company's compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This includes ensuring that internal controls and procedures are adequate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

You will work independently and collaborate with other operating departments as needed. Your knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws and regulations, as well as internal controls and policies, will be essential in performing regular scheduled internal audits.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations
  • Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting results to management
  • Ensuring all areas are clean and sanitized as directed
  • Attending meetings and training sessions as required
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A college degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Minimum two years' experience in internal auditing or accounting operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
