Position: Accounting Operations Manager

The Accounting Operations Manager will oversee customer invoicing, receivables, and case management processes.

This role is pivotal in fostering collaboration across various departments such as Sales, Finance, Customer Success, and Executive Leadership.

As a vital member of the Accounting Team, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team responsible for:
- Managing customer invoicing and refund procedures
- Handling customer inquiries and cases
- Processing cash applications
- Overseeing accounts receivable collections
- Setting up and maintaining new customer accounts
- Providing mentorship, training, and support to team members
- Closing revenue reports within three business days
- Analyzing monthly revenue fluctuations and leading review meetings
- Guiding finance system integrations and new acquisition processes
- Generating ad hoc revenue and profitability reports
- Building partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, serving as a subject matter expert on billing and contract execution
- Assisting with interim and annual audits
- Initiating and completing process enhancements to improve billing, collections, and cash application efficiency
- Establishing effective cross-departmental relationships with Sales, Customer Success, and Accounting teams.
- Preparing financial reports for management, including variance analysis
- Identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial capacity
- CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
- Proficient in advanced Excel and MS Access
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite and Salesforce)
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Capable of troubleshooting, problem-solving, and conducting research/analysis on complex issues
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Technically adept with a keen interest in new software tools and system implementations
- Proven problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and effectiveness
- Understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
