The Project Engineer serves as the central figure for a range of prominent and essential projects within our organization. This role demands exceptional organizational skills to guide team members in creating and executing deliverables that align with our stringent quality benchmarks. The Project Engineer is expected to be a technical authority among colleagues while engaging in various aspects of the construction lifecycle, including comprehensive construction management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in regular discussions with leadership to assess progress, address challenges, and celebrate achievements.
  • Contribute to project-specific planning, design, construction, and completion milestones.
  • Oversee project delivery by assigning technical and design responsibilities and mentoring team members.
  • Formulate project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure compliance throughout the project duration.
  • Conduct site evaluations and track progress to guarantee adherence to project specifications, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to foster effective communication and ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Lead quality assurance and quality control processes for projects, recommending necessary adjustments across the team.
  • Perform quality checks on reports, plans, and specifications, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement team-specific project delivery methodologies, such as work breakdown structures.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to team members.
  • Proactively communicate complex challenges and solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction field.
  • In-depth knowledge of professional liability, quality assurance procedures, and other engineering competencies.
  • Proficient in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and current industry standards.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal capabilities.
  • Able to thrive in a team environment and manage client interactions with professionalism.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, walk, and stand; capable of frequently lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 lbs.
  • This position necessitates in-person engagement.
  • Professional, business casual office setting.
