Electrical Engineer Job Description

Dialectic Engineering is a leading MEP engineering design and consulting firm with a strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable solutions. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of electrical systems for various industries.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of local codes and amendments, as well as proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu. They will work closely with our team to create accurate technical drawings and contribute to the overall design process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage electrical portions of projects effectively, delegating tasks and ensuring project success
  • Perform calculations and design electrical systems with a high degree of independence
  • Prepare electrical system layouts, detailed drawings, and schematics
  • Coordinate design requirements and decisions with other disciplines and project management
  • Research and make recommendations on system feasibility and product evaluation
  • Attend client meetings and continue to grow relationships with staff and clients
  • Assist with project coordination tasks, including managing emails and ensuring project quality
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and Premieres
  • Travel as required for site surveys and field inspections
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu
  • Strong understanding of local codes and amendments
  • Strong familiarity with building structures, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Intermediate knowledge and proficiency in engineering design
  • Effective communication skills within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to mentor staff
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
