PROJECT SCHEDULING SPECIALIST:

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will oversee the comprehensive scheduling function for projects, ensuring an optimal balance of production workload, resource monitoring, and effective management of stakeholders including customers and suppliers.

The project scheduling specialist will lead, coordinate, and exert authority over the planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of projects through the following duties:

  • Analyze contractual documents such as sales proposals, purchase orders, and contracts to accurately reflect the scope of work in the schedule.
  • Create and maintain a release plan for deliverables, including document submissions, material releases, production schedules, inspections, and final shipments.
  • Determine and prioritize tasks when project timelines conflict.
  • Facilitate weekly production meetings and participate in customer discussions regarding project timelines.
  • Provide expert guidance and resolve complex planning issues effectively.
  • Review job statuses with production staff and supply accounting with monthly reports detailing actual production hours versus estimated hours for ongoing projects.
  • Continuously update the production schedule to incorporate new jobs, remove completed tasks, and adjust for customer and engineering changes.

Relocation assistance may be available based on the candidate's situation. Selected candidates will be required to sign a non-compete and confidentiality agreement.



Qualifications:


A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred (5 years or more is ideal). Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project), ERP systems, and scheduling tools is essential.


Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities are required. Candidates must effectively convey information through email, written reports, and verbal interactions, while also being adept at listening and providing constructive feedback.

Team Collaboration:
Must demonstrate the ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues, vendors, and clients, promoting a collaborative work environment.

Analytical Problem Solving:
Proficient in identifying and analyzing issues, with the capability to implement effective solutions with minimal supervision.

Time Management:
Strong organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks and competing priorities to ensure timely completion of responsibilities.

Technical Competence:
Able to grasp technical industry standards and customer specifications effectively.

Self-Motivated:

Demonstrates a strong work ethic and the drive to meet goals and deadlines, with a willingness to invest extra effort when necessary. Must approach challenges with determination and resilience.


Adaptability:
Exhibits the ability to prioritize effectively and make swift decisions to meet deadlines, adapting to changing demands and challenges as they arise.

Experience:
5+ years in manufacturing project scheduling is preferred, with familiarity in ERP systems such as SAP Business One and scheduling software like Just Plan It. Knowledge of design software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD is advantageous. Proficient in creating Excel spreadsheets and possessing expertise in piping and industrial process equipment and controls is required. Understanding of manufacturing processes, including welding, fabrication, and testing, is essential.

Compensation:
$78,000 - $83,210.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
