About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Cardiac Medical Unit team at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing lab tests, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with procedures, such as inserting IV lines and collecting blood samples.
- Document patient information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical procedures and technologies.
Requirements
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Virginia.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- 1+ year of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a cardiac medical unit.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
