About the Job:

This role involves supporting project teams in the design and development of products. The ideal candidate will have entry-level technical skills and some understanding of the product development process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage time and deliverables with minimal supervision to meet team objectives.
  • Identify, acquire, and make use of new sources of vehicle and product-related information.
  • Participate in engineering proto builds with operations, development engineers, and contract manufacturers.
  • Assist in building and debugging of prototype component builds and troubleshooting current products.
  • Independently perform elements of product validation testing as directed.
  • Prepare information for project reviews and project documentation suitable for product release.
  • Monitor project development costs in area of responsibility.
  • Direct contractors and field technicians by setting tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Build and debug applications and content with limited supervision.
  • Assist in product validation testing and preparation of documentation necessary to develop and release new applications and content.
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma is required.
  • An associate's degree in automotive technology or engineering is preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in automotive diagnostics and repair are required.
  • Three years of experience using scan tools for automotive diagnostics are also required.
  • Heavy experience in the current authoring environment is expected.
  • OEM, SAE, or other certification in automotive diagnostics and repair or demonstrated proficiency is necessary.
  • The ability to conduct root cause analysis of issues on designs of moderate complexity is essential.
  • Proficiency in PC skills such as word processing, spreadsheets, email, and scheduling is required.
  • The ability to work directly with customer service, operations, and sales on product-related issues is necessary.
